Cyclonic Storm ‘MICHAUNG’ over Southwest Bay of Bengal moves northwestwards with speed of 11 kms per hour

<span style="color: #222222;">Cyclonic Storm ‘MICHAUNG’ over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards with a speed of 11 kilometers per hour on Sunday.&nbsp;The IMD said, it is likely to continue to move northwestwards, intensify further, and reach the west-central Bay Of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamilnadu coasts by tomorrow forenoon. The weather agency added that it will cross the South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam during the forenoon of 5th December as a Severe Cyclonic Storm with a maximum wind speed upto 110 kilometers per hours.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The Cyclonic storm is expected to cause light to moderate rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places over south coastal Andhra Pradesh today. Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls is likely at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh &amp; Yanam tomorrow and Tuesday.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">Andhra Pradesh government is taking all measures to minimize the crop damage. Preparatory and precautionary measures to deal with cyclone are in full swing in the state.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">In Tamilnadu, a red alert has been issued for two days in Chennai, Chengalpet and Thiruvallur districts as extremely heavy rainfall with more than 21 cms of rain are likely at some places.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">Heavy rain is also likely to occur at one or two places over Cuddalore, Kallakurichi and Tirupattur districts of Tamilnadu and Puducherry.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; &nbsp;</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">Tamilnadu Government has declared a public holiday tomorrow in all Government offices, public undertakings Banks and financial institutions in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpattu.
