Cyclonic Storm 'Mandous' over Southwest Bay of Bengal moved northwestwards at about 180 km southeast of Mamallapuram and about 210 km south-southeast of Chennai.<br />'' <br />''The cyclone is very likely to move northwestwards and make landfall between Puducherry and Sriharikota around Mamallapuram as a cyclonic storm from midnight today to the early hours of tomorrow.<br />'' <br />''Chennai and surrounding areas have been experiencing intermittent rains since yesterday. AIR Correspondent reports that the average rainfall amount was considerably low compared to the intensity of the cyclone. However, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over districts of north interior Tamil Nadu, till the 10th of December.
