The cyclonic storm formed in the Bay of Bengal is set to make a landfall in the Tamil Nadu coast tomorrow afternoon. Meteorology Department has said, it would cross the shores in between Cuddalore and Pamban. It is expected to intensify further into a severe cyclone during its mid-sea phase by today and weaken into a cyclone while reaching the shores.<br />'' <br />''As it moves closer to the southern coast tomorrow, it is expected to bring rain in most places in the entire Tamil Nadu with the possibility heavy downpour at isolate places. Some places in Cuddalore, Nagappattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, Pudukkottai, Tuticorin and Ramanathapuram districts may experience extremely heavy rain exceeding 20 centimeters tomorrow. As sea conditions would be rough, fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The state administration has nominated first responders to report about any damage to the rescue and relief teams. Personnel from the NDRF, its state counterpart and inter-departmental zonal teams are put on high during the cyclone.</span>
