Cyclone to move west-northwestwards across Lakshadweep Islands during next 24 hours: Ministry of Earth Sciences

Sea conditions will be high to very high over and around Lakshadweep Islands during next 24 hours due to cyclone Ockhi which is very likely to intensify further. <br/><br/>Ministry of Earth Sciences said, the cyclone is very likely to continue to move west-northwestwards across Lakshadweep Islands during next 24 hours and then move northeastwards during the subsequent 48 hours. <br/><br/>The fishermen along and off Lakshadweep Islands, Kerala and Karnataka coast are advised not to venture into the sea during next 48 hours. <br/><br/>The Ministry said, due to cyclone Ockhi, rainfall at many places with heavy rainfall at isolated places is very likely to occur over Kerala during next 24 hours.
