With Cyclone PHET approaching the coast, Oman is gearing up to face the storm. Heavy rains have already hit the east coast of the country. <br/><br/>Authorities have issued an advisory to stay away from the seas and around 10,000 people have been moved to safer areas. According to reports, 85 percent of Masirah Island has been evacuated. Even in Pakistan, emergency meetings are being conducted to assess the situation. <br/><br/>According to authorities, hospitals have been put on alert while canned rations and clothes are being arranged for. According to the Met Department, cyclone PHET will cross the Oman coast by forenoon. <br/><br/>It will then weaken gradually to recurve northeastwards and move towards the Pakistan coast. Sindh and Baluchistan provinces will be badly affected if the cyclone hits Pakistan.<br/>
