Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced 1,000 rupees crore for cyclone-hit Andhra Pradesh as interim relief and Rs two lakh for those killed.

Mr Modi arrived in Visakhapatnam this afternoon to visit the cyclone-affected areas in the city and conduct a review of the relief operations along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He was scheduled to visit the badly damaged fishing harbour and a few residential colonies and then conduct a review meeting at the district collector's office.
