Cyclone Biparjoy likely to cross Saurashtra & Kutch near Jakhau port between Mandvi & Karachi by noon on 15th June

Cyclone Biparjoy is likely to cross Saurashtra and Kutch near Jakhau port (Gujarat) between Mandvi (Gujarat) and Karachi (Pakistan) by noon on the 15th of June as a very severe cyclonic storm. During this wind gust a maximum speed of 125 to 135 kmph is likely to increase to 145 kmph. Coastal districts of Gujarat are likely to receive heavy rain on the 14 and 15th of June, with heavy to very heavy rain expected over Kutch, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Jamnagar and heavy to very heavy rain at a few places over Porbandar, Rajkot, Morbi and Junagadh districts. The India Meteorological Department informed that it has been issuing regular bulletins with the latest forecast to all States and concerned agencies since the onset of the cyclonic system on the 6th of June.
