The Cyclonic Storm ‘Asani’ over westcentral Bay of Bengal moved northnortheastwards with a speed of six kilometres per hour during past six hours and lay centered at 08.30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, over same region about 40 kms southeast of Machilipatnam, 140 kms southwest of Kakinada and 280 kms southwest of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, 520 kms southwest of Gopalpur and 630 kms southwest of Puri in Odisha.<br />”<br />”As per the information received from the Director of Regional Meteorological Centre in Amaravathi, it is very likely to move north northeastwards along Narsapur, Yanam, Kakinada, Tuni and Visakhapatnam coasts till Wednesday evening and emerge into west-central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh coasts by tonight. It is likely to weaken further into a depression by Thursday morning.<br />”<br />
