The Cyber Crime Cell of Madhya Pradesh Police bagged this year's India Cyber Cop Award for cracking the Kotak Mahindra Bank forgery case.
The award was jointly given by Union IT Ministry, apex software body NASSCOM and Data Security Council of India. Cyber Crime Cell had cracked the forgery case, where over 17 lakh rupees were transferred online and fraudulently withdrawn using the ATM last year in a record 72 hours.
Besides arresting the accused within three days of the crime, the Cell managed to recover 15 lakh rupees.
