"Day 8 of the Glasgow Games yesterday turned out to be just fabulous for India. Not just the Grapplers, India displayed its prowess in several other sports as well. But, let's start with Wrestling! Yogeshwar Dutt, Babita Kumari, Geetika Jakhar and Pawan Kumar continued India's exceptional performance in Wrestling and helped the Indian grapplers finish the Glasgow Games with a total of 13 medals, including 5 Gold. While Babita clinched the Gold in 55 kg category, Yogeshwar brushed aside Canada's Jevon Bafour, 4-0 to win the coveted yellow metal in the 65 kg division.In the 63 kg section, Geetika settled for the Silver, with Pawan taking the Bronze in the 86 kg category.In Men's Discus Throw, Vikas Gowda registered an effort of 63.64 metres to give India its first Gold in Athletics in these Glasgow Games. Krishna Poonia and Seema Punia will look to add on to this medal, when they figure in the Women's Discus Throw Final today.In the Women's Vault event, Dipa Karmakar bagged the Bronze to became the first Indian woman gymnast to win a Commonwealth Games medal. This was also India's first medal in Gymnastics in these 2014 Commonwealth Games.In Hockey, the Indian Men's stormed into the semi-finals beating South Africa, 5-2 in their final preliminary round game.In Squash, the pair of Dipika Pallikal and Joshana Chinappa booked a Women's Doubles semi-final berth.In Badminton, 5 Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, P.
