CWG: Sushil Kumar, Amit Kumar, Rajiv Tomar & Jyoti to be seen in action today

On the 6th day of the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow today, Indian wrestlers will begin their campaign spearheaded by Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar. Others to be seen in action today are: Amit Kumar in men's 57 kg, Rajiv Tomar in men's 125 kg and Jyoti in women's freestyle 75 kg.In shooting events, Manavjit Sandhu and Mansher Singh will be competing in Men's trap final. Gagan Narang and Sanjeev Rajput will be taking part in men's 50 metre Rifle Three-position. In women's section also, Lajja Gausami and Elizabeth Koshy will be figuring in 50 metre Rifle-3 position event.Those taking part in today's boxing competitions are: Laishram Sarita Devi – Women's Lightweight Round of 16, Pooja Rani – women's middleweight (75 kg) Round of 16, Manoj Kumar in men's light welterweight, and Sumit Sangwan in men's light heavyweight quarter-final.In Badminton, RMV Gurusaidutt and K Srikanth will be playing in men's singles preliminary rounds.In Athletics, S. Thingalaya will be seen in Men's 110 metres Hurdles, while Ashwini Akkunji will be competing in the women's 110 metres Hurdles.The Indian competitors in today's Gymnastics (Artistic) event are: Aruna Reddy, Pranati Das, Rucha Diveker Sachin, Dipa Karmarkar and Pranati Nayak.In Hockey, with two easy victories under their belt, a confident India will face their first real test in the men's hockey event when they take on world champions and title holders Australia in the next group match at 6.30 p.m. IST.All India Radio will broadcast live commentary of the match from 6.25 p.m. onwards. Australia, on other hand, would be eyeing their fifth consecutive Commonwealth Games title. Since the introduction of hockey in the Commonwealth Games in 1998, Australia have ruled the roost, emerging winners in four editions on the trot.
