CWG: Queen’s Baton Relay arrives in Delhi

The Queen's Baton Relay of the Commonwealth Games has arrived in the national capital. The baton entered the Delhi today from the neighbouring state of Haryana. The Baton was received by Delhi Transport and Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely along with other officials of Delhi Government and many sports icons. The baton will now be taken to the organising committee headquarters near Janatar Mantar. It will be received by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna, chief minister Sheila Dikshit and organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi among others. Tomorrow the baton will travel to Vijay Chowk, India Gate, Qutab Minar and Lotus temple. The relay will conclude after the final Batonbearer enters the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday. Elaborate security arrangement has been made for the Queen's Baton Relay.
