Shekhar M Deorukhkar, a close aide of Former CWG Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi was today sent to Tihar jail for 14-day judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore rupees CWG overlays scam. CBI pleaded that investigation was not complete and accused may be remanded to judicial custody for further investigation. Deorukhk was arrested from Pune on 11 of this month. He is the fifth person to be arrested in the scam in which nearly 600 crore rupees worth contracts relating to the Games' overlays project are under the scanner of various agencies. The court also extended the judicial custody of Binu Nanu till 5th of March. Binu Nanu is a Managing Director of private firms Meroform India Pvt Ltd and G L Events Pvt Ltd.
