CWG: Indian shooter Shreyasi Singh bags silver medal

India has opened it's medal account on the fourth day from shooting in the 20th Commonwealth games held at Glassgow.Indian shooter Shreyasi Singh bagged silver in the Women's Double Trap event. She finished second with 92 points.This event was won by English Charlotte Kerwood with 94 points.In Men's Double Trap marksmen Mohd Asab with 135 points and Ankur Mittal with 132 points qualified for the semifinals.In Table Tennis, Indian Women's team lost to Australian eves in the Bronze medal match.Indian Men's team will meet England in semi-finals later last night.In Squash, Saurav Ghosal will clash with James Willstrop of England in the Men's Singles semi-final.In Badminton, the Indian Mixed team will take on England for a place in the finals.In the pool India's Sandeep Sejwal qualified for 50m Men's Breaststroke semifinals.The Indian Women's Hockey team will play their second preliminary round game against New Zealand.All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the match from 8.25 PM onwards.It can be heard on the FM Gold Network, Rajdhani and the National Channel.Ringside Manoj Kumar is featuring in the 64 Kg Weight Class. He will take on Canadian Aurthur Biyarslanov in Round of 16.Later in the night Sumit Sangwan in the 81 kg weight class will take on Mohammad Hakimu Fumu of Tanzania.Weightlifting will see Sathish Kumar Sivalingam and Ravi Kumar Katulu try their luck in the Men's 77 kg division whereas Punam Yadav and Vandana Gupta in women's 63 kg will search for medals later in the night.Athletics events will also witness India's participation. Prakash Karhana will be seen in action in the Shot Put qualification, while Saradha Narayana will figure in the heats of the Women's 100 metre event.Poovamma Maachettira will represent India in the Women's 400 metre event.
