In the 20th Commonwealth Games, India has yet to win a medal today. The Wrestlers though have assured 3 Medals but the fight will be for Gold that will change India's medal tally standing.Grapplers have raised Indian hopes with another strong outing today. Minimum 3 medals are assured by them on 8th Day of Glasgow Games. Olympian Yogeshwar Dutt in 65 Kg weight class, of Men's Freestyle Wrestling, Babita Kumari in 55kg, Geetika Jhakar in 63kg of Women's Freestyle Wrestling all of them have booked the final berths. It will be another India vs Canada wrestling finals in these encounters. On the other hand Pawan Kumar in 86 Kg category will be fighting for a bronze medal. In Badminton P Kashyap and PC Thulasi have reached the quarterfinals of their respective Singles event. In Table Tennis, Monika Batra entered the quarter finals of Women's singles event. And, big hopes are pinned on Vikas Gowda. India is expecting a medal from him as he will be seen in action in the finals of Men's Discus Throw. He was leader in the qualification round yesterday. Delhi's Gold medallist Krishna Poonia will also be seen in the qualifications of Women's Discus Throw along with Seema Punia tonight. Mayookha Johnny will hop in the Women's Long Jump final. India is currently on the 6th Spot in Medals Tally with 10 Gold to it's name. But it will certainly look to change it's position tonight.Meanwhile, the Indian Men's hockey team is taking on South Africa in their final preliminary round game. The match is in progress.
