The Commonwealth Games Federation chief Mike Fennel today said the 2010 Commonwealth Games at New Delhi from October 3rd to 14th this year will be doping free. Addressing a press conference today in New Delhi, after the meeting of chefs de Mission of Commonwealth Games , Fennel said during the games, doping checks will be done seriously on athletes . Though Fennel expressed satisfaction over the progress of the preparedness for the games, he, however, showed concern for the weightlifting and swimming venues. Mr Fennel also said a lot of work to be done for the games . He said the games are in good hands and expressed his happiness with the commonwealth games village saying it as one of the bests in the world. He informed yesterday he visited the Games Village along with the Chefs de Mission of Commonwealth Games to monitor the preparations for the forthcoming event. Commonwealth Games CEO Mike Hooper and Fennel led the delegation to review the current progress. Fennell said the central government is paying full attention to hosting the event successfully. Suresh Kalmadi, chiarman of the organising committee exuded confidence that India will successfully host the event.
