CWG: Bindra , Narang shoot gold for India

India's hunt for medals in the commonwealth games got a boost today after Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang bagged a gold in 10 metre air rifles pairs event today at Karnai Singh shooting range . They also set a new games record of 119. Three other gold medals are also up for grab later in the shooting events later in the day. AIR correspondent reports it is a discipline where India is expected to collect maximum number of medals. Besides Bindra and Narang who have also qualified for the Olympics, India's bright prospects Tejaswini Sawant , Anisha Sayyed and Rahi Sarnobat are expected to bring laurels for the country.On the second day of the competition, all together 54 medals including 18 golds are to be decided. In boxing, India's Vijendra Singh and Dinesh Kumar are hot favourites while the Men's hockey team will take on Malayasia in their opening match. Cycling and Wrestling will also account for three golds each today while two golds are on offer in the weightlifting category.Yesterday, Indian weightlifters bagged two silver and two bronze medals.
