Badminton assures minimum of two medals for India in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. In Men's Singles event Parupalli Kashyap defeated Rajiv Ouseph of England to enter the finals. He defeated the English opponent 18-21, 21-17, 21-8. In the semi final of badminton women's doubles, Indian duo of Ashwini Ponappa and Jawala Gutta defeated the Malaysian pair 21-7, 21-12. Both events final will be played on Sunday. However, RMV Guru Saidutt and PV Sindhu lost their semi final matches in their respective singles event. Both the players will play their bronze medal match on Saturday night.
