The Congress Working Committee today endorsed economic reforms undertaken by the government. Party's top decision making body met in New Delhi in the wake of recent political developments. Speaking to reporters, party spokesman Janardan Dwibedi said Congress President Mrs Sonia Gandhi in her speech attacked BJP for playing negative politics. Mrs Gandhi said BJP should play the role of responsible opposition.
In his address Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh said that flagship programmes of the government cannot be implemented effectively till economy is in a sound position.
