The Queen's Baton Relay of the Commonwealth Games has arrived in the national capital. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna and Chief minister Sheila Dikshit received the baton in a reverberating atmosphere at the organising committee headquarters near Janatar Mantar. Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi was also present among others . Games mascot Shera welcomed the guests . Tomorrow the baton will travel to Vijay Chowk, India Gate, Qutab Minar and Lotus temple. The relay will conclude after the final Batonbearer enters the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday. Elaborate security arrangement has been made for the Queen's Baton Relay.Coinciding with the arrival of the baton, Commonwealth Express Train also arrived in the city yesterday. The special exhibition train to promote the games will spread awareness about sports and information technology.The train will be open for public viewing at Patel Nagar railway Station today, at safdarjung railway station tomorrow. During the games, the special train will be stationed at Paragati maidan railway station. AIR correspondent reports this train attracted more than seven lakh visitors so far during its three months journey across the country.
