The Central Vigillance Commission,CVC has recommended imposition of major penalty against 101 Officers. They include 18 from Canara Bank, 15 from Central Board of Excise and Customs, 8 from Ministry of Defence, 7 from Ministry of Railways and other departments.According to an officail release, the Commission has disposed of 1298 cases during the month of August this year as referred to it for advice. Of these, 920 complaints were s ent for necessary action.It also made a recovery of 2.60 crore rupees during the month on the basis of technical examination of public procurement and works being carried out by different agencies.
