The Central Vigilance Commission has disposed of 864 cases during March 2010 referred to it for advice. <br/><br/>According to an official release, the Commission advised imposition of major penalty against 132 officers including 37 from Central Board of Excise and Customs and others from Banks and other departments.<br/><br/>On the Commission’s recommendations, the competent authorities issued sanctions for prosecution against 42 officers.<br/>
