The Central Vigilance Commission has asked all the ministries to give details of all the works carried out by them during the past three months for its scrutiny. A CVC Official said in New Delhi on Tuesday, the anti-corruption watchdog has sought details of civil and electrical works done by the ministries besides other contracts valued at two crore rupees or above. He said all the ministries, mainly dealing with Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications works, have been directed to comply with its order. The official said that the Commission will await their reports for about 30 days and then randomly choose to inspect any of works being undertaken or implemented by ministries.The probity watchdog has specifically sought details of high-value projects, payment details, contractor details, third party examination report and tender documents in thepast three months. AIR correspondent reports, the Commission has recovered over 54 crore rupees after inspecting public procurements and other works carried out by different agencies this year so far.
