CVC advises initiation of penalty proceedings against 106 government officials

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has advised initiation of penalty proceedings against 106 government officials, including 21 each from Railways Ministry and Public Sector Banks, for alleged irregularities. The CVC said in its latest performance that there are 13 officials from Municipal Corporation of Delhi, eight from Central Public Works Department, five from Central Coalfields Ltd and four each from Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Home Affairs and Urban Development Ministry among others against whom the Commission advised penalty proceedings. <br/>The anti-corruption watchdog also advised imposition of major penalty against 68 officers including 14 from National Aluminum Company Ltd, 12 each from Central Coalfields Ltd and Public Sector Banks, six from Ministry of Railways and five each from National Insurance Company Ltd and Delhi Development Authority.<br/>The Commission disposed off 648 complaints sent to it for necessary actions and 91 others given to it for investigation and report.<br/>
