In Uttar Pradesh two policemen including the Station Officer have been suspended today in Azamgarh in connection with custodial death of a youth. FIR was lodged on Sunday in this matter against 3 police men of Rani Ki Sarai police station. <br/><br/>Quoting official sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that SO of the police station R D Shukla and Sub-Inspector Mahendra Yadav were suspended. <br/><br/>Superintendent of Police Mr. Bhagwan Swaroop Srivastava has handed over the enquiry to Circle officer Lalganj and he has also written a letter to the District Magistrate seeking magisterial probe into the matter. <br/><br/>After death of the youth agitated villagers had blocked the Azamgarh-Varanasi road in protest of incident demanding case against the erring policemen. <br/><br/>Earlier, he was picked up by police on Friday night for interrogation, died in police custody. <br/><br/>He was a witness of his brother's custodial death. His elder brother had died in police custody in 2005 and the matter is in the court. <br/><br/>Six policemen including the then Station Officer of Sidhari police station were made accused in the case.<br/><br/>Expressing her dissatisfaction over the increasing incidents of custodial deaths, Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati had said couple of days back that all policemen of the concerned police station would be suspended on such incidents.<br/>
