Current financial year is expected to clock a revenue of 167 billion USD: NASSCOM President

Addressing a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing World IT Congress in Hyderabad today, NASSCOM President R. Chandrasekhar said, the current financial year is expected to clock a revenue of 167 billion US dollars and digital industry is growing at a fast pace of nearly 30 </span>per cent<span style="font-size: 12.8px;">. While the digital spending is growing at 20 </span>per cent<span style="font-size: 12.8px;"> globally, India's digital revenue grew at 30 </span>per cent<span style="font-size: 12.8px;"> in the current fiscal. He </span>said,<span style="font-size: 12.8px;"> startups sector grew by 25-30 </span>per cent<span style="font-size: 12.8px;"> with 700 more startups coming into being.&nbsp;</span></div>''<div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><br />''</div>''<div style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">E-commerce grew by 17 per cent with focus on sectors like e-travel. Chandrasekhar said, one lakh jobs were created in the current year and the same trend will continue during the next year. He said, the NASSCOM will work towards making the country into Digital Solution Hub and re-skilling of the work force will continue to be in focus with the Government taking several measures in the direction.
