Curfew relaxation to be extended on Sunday as situation continues to remain peaceful in Hyderabad

<br/>In Andhra Pradesh, the situation continued to remain peaceful in the curfew-bound areas in the old city of Hyderabad. The indefinite curfew that has been in force from last Monday in 25 police station areas will be relaxed for more hours this morning in two phases. City Commissioner of Police A K Khan said, the situation was fully under control and no fresh incidents of violence reported. While the curfew would be relaxed in 8 police station areas for three hours from 7Am onwards, it will be relaxed in rest of the 17 police station areas for three hours from 10Am onwards. <br/><br/>The Commissioner said the duration of curfew relaxation would be increased gradually. The deployment of the central security forces is continued to keep a vigil as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, Government has made elaborate arrangements to supply essential commodities in the trouble-torn areas.<br/><br/>The situation in curfew-bound areas of Hyderabad is slowly limping back to normalcy with no fresh incidents of violence reported from any of the areas in the last five days. However, the authorities wanted to continue curfew for some more days with longer duration of interludes as a precautionary measure. The lifting off the day curfew is also being considered by the authorities on further improvement of situation. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, the demand for lifting off the curfew is growing among the commoners as they are facing problems in getting essential commodities due to exorbitant prices and lack of sufficient supplies during curfew relaxation. Meanwhile, the 10th class board examinations that were postponed due to curfew will be now held from 9th of this month onwards.
