In Jammu & Kashmir, curfew and restrictions have been lifted from various areas in south Kashmir and Srinagar district after 17 days of continual law and order disturbances. DIG Police South Kashmir Range Ghulam Hassan Bhat told AIR that curfew was lifted from Shopian, Kulgam and Awantipora areas today. He said, the restrictions under Sec 144 in Pulwama district and curfew in Anantnag district will continue. <br/><br/>Barring BSNL post paid landline, mobile and broadband internet services, all private mobile telephone services continue to remain suspended. In Jammu region the mobile internet services were restored yesterday. Deputy Commissioner of Jammu Simrandeep Singh said the orders have been issued to restore mobile Internet services with immediate effect. Fearing a backlash in Jammu region after the start of protests in Kashmir valley, the authorities had decided to snap mobile Internet services across 10 districts of the region.
