In Manipur, the indefinite curfew imposed in the whole areas of Imphal West and Imphal East Districts from the eighth of this month will be relaxed for 14 hours tomorrow from five in the morning to seven in the evening. This is the tenth time that the indefinite curfew is being relaxed in the last twelve days.
All educational institutions have been closed for the last eleven days by the state administration in view of the prevailing mass agitation in the state.
Mass agitation has been continuing in the state for more than 20 days demanding introduction of a new bill in the state legislature to safeguard the indigenous people of Manipur.
The Joint Committee on Inner-Line Permit System spearheading the agitation had relaxed the agitation for three days from Friday last in view of Rathayatra and Id-ul-Fitr festivals.
