In Kashmir valley, authorities have imposed curfew today in entire Srinagar city and other towns of Baramula, Sopore, Kupwara, Handwara and Awantipora. The step has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of protest call by separatists today. Meanwhile, Infantry Day is being celebrated today. It was on this day in 1947 that the Indian Army had landed in Srinagar to defend the valley from the raids by Pak- tribals.
