In Andhra Pradesh, curfew was imposed in Saidabad and Madannapet police station areas of Hyderabad this afternoon following clashes between two groups. Police said, trouble broke out over the alleged reports of desecration of a religious place in the old city area. Police clamped curfew as the stone pelting incidents between the clashing groups continued unabated. Three persons were injured and several vehicles including public transport buses were damaged. APSRTC has suspended its services in the troubled areas. Rapid Action Forces have been deployed in the area. Additional forces have been deployed at all sensitive places in the old city. Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Khan has urged people not to believe rumours. The students attending exams will be given exemption from the curfew. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy along with Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy has reviewed the law and order situation in the twin cities. He directed the Director General of Police to take stern action against trouble makers.
