In Uttar Pradesh, curfew has been imposed in Bareilly city after violent clashes between two rival groups. It was effective in all seven police areas, including Kotwali, Premnagar, Baradari, Quila, Cant, Ijjatnagar and Subhashnagar of the city.AIR Allahabad correspondent reports that trouble started on Sunday night when two rival groups indulged in firing and arson following scuffle over using loud speakers in the procession. Several persons, including policemen, were injured in the clashes.A large police force has been deployed to maintain peace in the town. The state Additional Director General of Police has reached Bareilly to take first-hand stock of the situation.
