In Jammu and Kashmir, curfew has been enforced in North and South Zone of Sringar city in view of the call for a protest march given by some separatist elements. Curfew has also been imposed in Sopore and restrictions have been imposed in some other areas of the Kashmir valley. The IG Police Farooq Ahmed told AIR that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure public safety. However, situation is normal as of now and no untoward incident has been reported.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent, who went around different places in Srinagar city reports that the situation is completely under control. There is heavy presence of security personnel specially in vulnerable areas like down-town and Batamaloo.
