In Andhra Pradesh, curfew continued on the third day today in Madannapet and Saidabad areas of old city of Hyderabad as the situation remains tense but under control. Hyderabad police have arrested six more persons in connection with the Madannapet clashes today. With this a total of 11 persons have been arrested relating to the clashes. The Special Investigation Team is interrogating some more persons who were picked up for questioning. Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner, A K Khan said, the curfew is being continued as a precautionary measure as some sporadic incidents have been reported in some other areas. Stating that the situation is being continuously monitored, he urged the people not to believe in rumours.The indefinite curfew was clamped in these areas on Sunday following clashes between two groups. Tight vigil continued in all the sensitive areas of the old city to prevent any untoward incident.
