Curfew continues in 6 police station areas of Muradabad

The curfew is continuing in six police station areas of Muradabad. However, there are no reports of any untoward incident from curfew bound areas. The DIG police of Muradabad, N. K Srivastava said Wednesday evening that large numbers of police forces have been deployed in the disturbed areas and police is keeping strict vigil on the situation. He said that police would deal strictly with anti social elements. About seventy companies of police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in the Muradabad. Meanwhile, District Magistrate Samir Verma has appealed for peace and asked the local people to cooperate with the administration to maintain law and order in the district. The Schools and colleges will remain closed in the city areas till the next order. The DIG police said, there were no relaxations in the curfew so far which was imposed after clashes between two groups in the city late last night.
