Curfew clamped in Sopore, Bandipora, Kupwara towns

Authorities in Kashmir valley have imposed curfew in North Kashmir towns of Sopore, Bandipora and Kupwara, while movement of people has been restricted in large parts of Srinagar and other towns. The step has been taken to thwart the proposed protest march of separatist after Friday prayers. Normal life in the valley continues to be disrupted due to the hartal, called by hard line faction of Huriyat conference. There is scarcity of essential commodities and the academic calendar of students has been adversely affected.
