Cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered to healthcare and frontline workers crosses 1.30 Cr

<span style="color: #222222;">The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered to healthcare and frontline workers has crossed 1.30 Crores today. Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry, Dr Mandeep Bhandari said, a total of 1,30,67,047 vaccine doses have been given to beneficiaries. He said, these include over 65,82,000 Health Care Workers who have taken the 1st dose and 18,60,859 Health Care Workers who have taken the 2nd dose along with 46,24,181 Front Line Workers.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Bhandari said, total 3,95,884 vaccine doses were given today. From 1st March, COVID-19 vaccination will be extended to people aged 60 years and above and those aged 45 years and above with comorbidities. Yesterday, the Centre held a meeting with all States and UTs to review progress of COVID-19 vaccination drives with a focus on improving the pace of vaccination. States and UTs have been advised to expand COVID-19 vaccination sessions to all Public Health Care Facilities along with CGHS & PM-JAY empaneled hospitals from March.</span><br />''  <br />
