Cuba, Russia Sign Agreement on Peaceful Nuclear Cooperation

Russia and Cuba today signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of peaceful atomic energy use. The deal, laying the basis for further cooperation in different fields from agriculture to training nuclear specialists, was signed by Russian state nuclear agency Rosatom and Cuba's Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in Vienna. <br/><br/>Special coordinating committees and bilateral working groups will be created to facilitate the implementation of the agreement. The 60th IAEA General Conference kicked off yesterday in Austria's capital Vienna.
