IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings has filed a case in the Madras High Court to quash the 2-year ban imposed on it by the Justice Lodha committee on charges of betting by its alleged former associate Gurunath Meyyappan. In his petition yesterday, the Team Manager, George John said that the Supreme Court appointed panel's ban against the Chennai Super Kings is against natural justice. He claimed that Mr Meyyappan has never been on the Board of the franchisee. The petitioner claimed that the charges have not been of match fixing or spot fixing and none of its players have been accused of betting.
