Science and Technology Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today launched Council of Science and Industrial Research's Integrated Skill Initiative Program in New Delhi. In his address, the Minister said under the initiative, CSIR will start thirty skill programs in diverse areas with varying duration. He said all these training programs are linked to industry requirements and employment generation.<br/><br/>On the occasion, the CSIR-Central leather Research Institute, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Castes Cooperative Finance Cooperation signed an agreement for skill training, Upgradation and entrepreneurship development of ten thousand underprivileged candidates.<br/><br/>This year, CSIR is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee and the Prime Minister will inaugurate its celebration on 26th of this month in New Delhi. On the occasion, the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prizes and other awards would be given to eminent scientists.
