The government has made it clear that it does not consider crypto currencies a legal tender in India. <br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government is examining the matter. <br/><br/>He said a Committee under the Chairmanship of Economic Affairs Secretary is deliberating upon the overall issues related to crypto currencies to propose specific actions to be taken.
