Crude prices climb as oil companies shut down some US Gulf of Mexico oil output due to hurricane

Oil today rose around one percent towards 41 dollars a barrel. The Crude prices climbed as oil companies shut down some U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil output due to a hurricane, although surging coronavirus infections and rising Libyan supply limited gains.
 
In intra-day trade, Brent crude prices were trading around 40 dollars and 80 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were around 38 dollars and 90 cents per barrel.
