The crucial meeting to decide on the resignation of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will take place today at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai.

Party supremo Sharad Pawar will be meeting NCP MLAs at 4 pm to discuss the present political scenario in Maharashtra. He is also expected to meet Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan to discuss Ajit Pawar’s resignation issue.

Senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar submitted his resignation on 26th of this month to Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. His resignation comes amid alleged irregularities in granting administrative approvals for projects involving several crores of rupees during his tenure as state Irrigation Minister.
