The Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) in Cuttack has come up with 11 new high-yielding varieties of rice recently. Out of these five are exclusively suitable for cultivation in Orissa. Remaining varieties are fit for cultivation in Bihar,Gujarat, Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
