The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will accord highest priority in containing Left Wing Exremism (LWE) in parts of the country. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, CRPF Director General Mr Pranay Sahay said, the most LWE infested areas have been indentifed in some states including Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. He said the CRPF is in the process of hiring two helicopters for better movement of forces and quick evacuation of its personnel during any eventuality. He said that a proposal in this regard has been sent to the Home Minsitry.
Talking about its organisation, the CRPF, DG Mr Sahay said, keeping in view of the expansion of the force many new wings and posts have been sanctioned. These include creation of integrated intelligence wing, constitution of Parliament duty group and engineering wing. He said that various types of training have been introduced to augment operational skills.
