CRPF takes cognizance of video uploaded by constable

CRPF has taken cognizance of a video uploaded by a CRPF constable who raised issues seeking parity with the Army. It said the constable has not complained about any organisation, and has only voiced his aspiration. <br/><br/>Speaking to media, DG CRPF, Durga Prasad said the jawan has raised issues which are already being discussed. He said the pay parity issue has been brought out by all central paramilitary forces through recommendations to the 7th Pay Commission. <br/><br/>The government has also accepted some of the recommendations of the Pay Commission. In a statement, CRPF said it is highly sensitive to the welfare of its jawans and regular efforts are made for redressal of their grievances at several levels. Since 2004, government has implemented new pension scheme where in all government employees contribute partially towards a pension fund.<br/><br/>Reacting to the claims made by the CRPF jawan, Minister of state for Home Kiren Rijiju has said, Government is taking all steps to improve the conditions of service personnel and their food. Speaking to media in New Delhi today, Mr Rijiju said, several things have come to light and government is taking them seriously and will ensure that such incidents do not recur in future.
