In Uttar Pradesh, Special Task Force of state police today arrested six persons including two CRPF and 3 state police personnel for allegedly stealing arms and ammunitions and supplying to the same to criminals.<br/><br/>Large number of live cartridges, Magazines of INSAS rifles and empty cartridges were recovered from them.<br/><br/>The Additional Director General of Police Law and order of the state Mr. Brij Lal told media persons at Lucknow that the arrests were made following an operation based on a tip off received in the aftermath of the Dantewada Naxal violence, in which 76 security personnel were killed by the Naxals.<br/><br/><br/>Arrested CRPF personnel were posted as armourer at CRPF centre Rampur while state police personnel were posted at Police Academy Moradabad and police line Jhansi. <br/><br/>Police has said that a retired sub-inspector of Provincial Armed Constabulary, identified as Yashodha Nand Singh is allegedly master mind of these illegal activities. He was arrested from Rampur this morning and after getting information from him STF carried out searches in Moradabad, Rampur and Jhansi and arrested five persons.<br/><br/>Quoting police sources AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that about 8 police armourers posted at Police lines and PAC battalions at Varanasi, Kanpur, Allahabad, Chandauli, Sonebhadra and Mirzapur are also under scanner of STF. <br/><br/>The state police have decided to set up a high level team of police officers to interrogate the arrested persons and police men jointly at one place. Police will move to the court for their long police remand for interrogation. <br/><br/>Police has not yet clarified that to whom these arrested persons had supplied the cartridges, and Magazines in past. Police has said that recovered cartridges and Magazines are for prohibited bores and not in general public use.<br/>
