CRPF in process of revamping medical emergency services

The Central Reserve Police Force, CRPF, is in the process of revamping its medical emergency services and is looking at buying hi-tech ambulances which will also be deployed in Naxal affected areas. The CRPF has already procured two such ambulances which will be used during the Commonwealth Games. CRPF Director General Vikram Srivastava said more such ambulances will be bought. The CRPF, which is providing nearly 5,000 security personnel including 300 commandos for the Commonwealth Games, today flagged off the ambulances which will be subsequently handed over to the Organising Committee of the Games.The vehicles come fitted with all modern gadgets for medical care including centralised oxygen system. The ambulances will be placed at its Officers Training Academy in Kadarpur, where the shooting range for the Games is also located.
