Prasar Bharati Chief Executive officer, Jawhar Sircar has said the corporatization of media and cross media hegemony in the South East Asia region is main cause of concern. Addressing the gathering in New Delhi on the role of the media in South Asia, Mr Sircar said there are some corporate houses in the country which are controlling the large section of media including TV, Print and social media, is not good for the industry. He said these emerging cross media holding are producing colossal, which are more dangerous than government colossal.<br/><br/>He added that government colossal can still be made accountable. Speaking on the issue of paid news, Mr Sircar said there are thousand of newspapers in the country and there sole purpose is to getting advertisements which is another line of corruption and control. He said the Industry needs to look within to solve this problem.
