Cross Border Terrorism to dominate Indo-Pak Ministerial talks

Mumbai terror attack and issues related to cross border terrorism are expected to dominate the talks between the External Affairs Minister Mr. S. M. Krishana and his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmoood Quresh in Newyork tonight. Mr. Krishna is expected to ask Pakistan to take concrete and speedy action against the perpetrators of the 26/11 attack. Earlier the issue was discussed at the meeting the Foreign Secretary Ms. Nirupama Rao had with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir. The progress of the investigations into Mumbai terror attack were discussed during the discussions between the two top diplomats. The India delegation maintains that there is a need to bring the investigation to a satisfactory conclusion.<br/><br/>Earlier in a strong message to Pakistan, the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that Islamabad must stop state-sponsored terrorism to normalise relations with India. He said that the Pakistan should give up its old attitude regarding the use of terror as an instrument of state policy. Ahead of today's the Mr. Krishna said India is committed to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan through peaceful dialogue.<br/>
